Our club rooms have lovely views over the harbour and suit special occasions, memorials and weddings, for up to 150 people.
Hire fees
Club members get 20% off. All prices include GST.

Discounts are available for several days or nights booked in the same calendar month, and community groups may get a discount. Please ask.
What's included

Setting up and packing away tables and chairs is up to you, and so is cleaning. Please leave the club as you found it. Catering is not included, but we can recommend caterers.
Alcohol can't be sold at your event, but it can be enjoyed responsibly. If you would like a bar manager and the club to run the bar, just ask.
How to book
- Fill in the online hire form, or print the hire agreement and email it to bookings@poharaboatclub.org.
- We will send you an invoice. Full payment and the bond are due when you book, and your booking is secured once the invoice is paid.
- Your bond is refunded if the club is left clean and tidy with no damage.

Cancellations
- More than 30 days before: full refund of the hire fee.
- Between 30 and 7 days before: 50% refund of the hire fee.
- Within 7 days: no refund of the hire fee.
- The bond is always refunded in full if you cancel.
Hire rules
- No nails, screws or pins. Hang decorations with care.
- Stack and pack away tables and chairs as you found them.
- Wash, dry and put away all cups, plates and cutlery. Leave the fridge empty and clean.
- Clean the toilets, empty the bins and take away all rubbish and recycling. Cleaning gear is in the downstairs lift room.
- Half and full day hires clean up within the hire time. Evening and special occasion hires clean up by 11am the next day.
- Extra cleaning is charged at $50 an hour, or taken from your bond. Breakages must be reported ($8 per glass).
- No smoking or vaping in the building. All noise stops by 1.30am. No overnight stays.
- Breaking these rules may mean losing some or all of your bond. Costs above the bond are charged to the hirer.
